I know some of you might think I'm a little nuts
but I have a confession to make. :o)
I have a fetish for old chairs that people throw away.
Call me strange but when I see a chair that has been kicked to the curb, I sometime succumb to the temptation to pick it up. I'm not sure what the attraction is but recently I couldn't resist—I found this green chair on the curb and fell in love with it. It was so heavy that I had to call a friend to help me load it up. (And evidentially it sat on someone porch for a while.....shew weeee.) I wish you could have seen my husband’s face when I pull the old tattered chair out of the back of my van. He didn't quite share the same vision I had for that chair.
After a little cleaning up, I hope you'll agree, it was worth the trouble. It was such a unique element to photograph. And, I couldn’t have picked a better subject to share the spotlight with my chair. This little girl was just precious!

During the session I found out she was also a dancer. For fun, we decided to spin like ballerinas. After adding artwork (music notes, etc.) to this image, we decided that this image is a must for our studio displays. The print hasn't been completed yet but I'm looking forward to displaying it in my studio.
This little cutie had no problem putting on a little "sass" after we changed out of her princess clothes. :o)
