Cakesters

Somebody's turning 1 year old!

My little cakesters girl was a little hesitant to dig into her cake.

Its a very good thing these images were not photographed in reverse. ha ha

"You talkin' to me?"

She's 2 And Almost In The Middle

Marly's 2 years old!Her mom says Marly is always one to stop for catipillars.
Marly is about to become a middle child. Their family is expecting their 3rd little girl.
During the session we snuck in a few images of the girls and their mom. Isn't that one of the cutest pregnant belly's that you've ever seen. :o) Like a little round ball sitting there.

Ben-o

Ben-o cracks me up! He is a little wild man and I LOVE IT!

He makes my job fun !!

As you can tell...he knows how to get to his mama's heart too.

If a picture tells more than a thousand words, what does this image tell you?

The many faces of Ben-o. He was so hilarious.
He sat down between his mama's legs and squeezed his little head through.

By the end of the session Beno-o was worn out.
Time for some snuggles with mom.

Abby + Kevin

Although I knew Abby and Kevin before the wedding, it was more of an acquaintance. I had never really had the opportunity to spend time with either of them. As we worked together to capture these images on their wedding day, that changed. They are such a sweet couple and I am so blessed to had been a part of their lives on such a special day.

Their wedding day started with a few sprinkles. I love the symbolism behind water. Water is what all living things need to grow and survive. It was almost like God was giving them just enough sprinkles to say, "I'm watering your relationship today. Let it grow in Me." And when it was time to start outdoor portraits, God graciously closed up the clouds and moved them away.

They were married at St.Pats church here in Rolla. The stain glass and architecture of the building makes for some amazing portraits.

See! I told you they were sweet. Look how adorable they are.

Abby is absolutely amazing.
I am convinced...there is not one room she couldn't light up with her presence.

Kevin is a UMR/S&T fanatic.
If there is ever anything you want to know about the history of our university, he's your guy.

Kevin & Abby--Thanks again for including me such a special event!
It was truely an honor.
I look foward to the continuation of our friendship. :o)

A bad case of MIA

8.27.2008

This is probably one of the worst cases of MIA (Missing In Action) that I have ever experienced. The website project had captured, inprisioned and banned me from blogging until all the work was complete. Although I still have a few small elements to add, I was graciously let out on good behavior.

Over the next few weeks I will resume blogging images captured in recent sessions. Just a forewarning...I still have many things competing for my time. Until those are complete my writings about each image will be limited. But not to worry, in one form or another, I will do my best to keep in contact.

On a side note. I love sharing tidbits that challenge you to experience creativity in new ways. This tidbit comes in the form of a book recommendation. I received this particular book as a gift from a friend. (Thanks Nande!) I started reading it because of the authors unique ability to visually write. I finished the book because I became so engulfed in the story that I couldn't put it down. Those of you who know me well, realize how enthralled I must have been to actually read a book from cover to cover. Although my "Must Read" list is short, it is gradually growing. Without hesitation, this book ranks at the top of that list.
