Holly's Testimonial
"I knew where I wanted to get my senior pictures done since I was a freshman. I had seen many senior pictures from my cousins who graduated before me and never thought anything special of them and never thought it was a big deal, but then I saw pictures from upperclassmen from my school and I was completely AMAZED! I had never seen pictures like these so when I went home I immediately googled Collins Photography to check it out. Astonished again, I had to show my mom and she fell in love with the pictures just like me! The pictures you receive when going to Collins Photography are not your standard pictures, they are artistic! And Kim Collins does an amazing job of deciding what looks best and capturing the photos. I was so very excited when it was time to get my pictures done and when I met Kim it made me feel even more excited because she is an amazing person and knows what she's talking about so you feel confident in what she is doing. The night when we thought my pictures would come up on the website we refreshed my email every hour so we would know immediately when we could see the pictures and they turned out amazing! I'm so pleased with the result and I could ask for better pictures! I just want to thank Collins Photography for helping me capture a time in my life I will never forget, you have made my senior year that much better and I can't wait to grow up and look back at these pictures that I will have my whole life!"
Thank you so much,
Holly

Anna
10.26.2010
If an image can speak...these images tell of Anna's beauty both inside and out.
What a fun session. Anna picked this location because she runs the trail with some of her track team. It was totally fitting for her personality. She is an amazing girl. Super sweet and very intelligent. I'm looking forward to watching her to see what she does with life. I have no doubt that it will be something spectacular!

On Location for Christmas
10.13.2010
Yesterday a mom was asking me about some "non-woodsy" outdoor places to photograph. The best way to share with her was with sample images. I figured while I was sharing with her, everyone else might like a sneak peek too! This time of year is the perfect time to be thinking about Christmas needs--Gifts for family, Christmas Cards for friends and don't forget to treat yourself to that artistic family wall portrait that you've been wanting all year too!

testimonial - Gloria
10.08.2010
"When my daughter asked me to go check out the Collins Photography website, I thought it would be a standard experience of cute baby pics in standard poses. BOY- WAS I WRONG! The pictures produced by Collins Photography are dynamic creations that are typical of wall art photos you might find in a VERY high-end gallery! Unique and adorable are the two words that come to mind when viewing the Collins creations! I was fortunate to be there for the shoot of my Daughter, her Husband and my newest (and fabulous) Granddaughter..... Ellie! Kim managed to handle all of us with patience and professionalism. The pictures speak for themselves.... you will NOT find anything like this outside of a large Metroplex again. My many thanks to Kim and Collins Photography for providing our family with such beautiful pictures that we will treasure always."

10.05.2010
I remember photographing this senior when he was just 6 years old. Talk about feeling older.
Where has time gone? Before I know it, I'll blink again and he'll be getting married. Ahhhhhhh
Thanks for a fun session Adam! As always...it's a pleasure working with you and your family!!

Chirp... Chirp...
9.12.2010
Is this not the sweetest little chic you've ever seen!
When we posed this little newborn, she opened her mouth like a sweet little bird waiting to be fed. Needless to say...her mama has no concerns about her finishing her dinner when she gets older.
Thank you so much to this family for allowing me to be such a special part of your family history! May these images only get sweeter with time!

Tap tap tap...

Tap tap tap.....Is anyone out there? Is anyone still listening?
I am officially the worst blogger around. I hope I still have a few people out there waiting for new life to sprout up from an outdated blog.
Your waiting isn't in vein. I'm still around and ready to add a few more samples for you. I hope you enjoy them!
This summer was such a great time for our family. One of our favorite memories was of our trip to see family out east. Madison (shown to the left) is only 6 months older than our little girl (shown to the right). They had such a great time playing. It will be fun to see these two little cousins grow up together. Aren't they adorable!

Feedback from Tierah
7.31.2010
"Our experience with Collins Photography was nothing short of amazing! When we first got to view our photos in the video album, I got a little emotional. Kim does a great job in capturing the moment in a picture, and that's what you want when you pay for precious memories. Thanks so much kim!" -- The Coffey's, David, Teirah and Keilan
From Drab to Fab
6.24.2010
My last preparation for my big 'Wicked' weekend was to see my friend Nickole McNail at Benton Square today. I needed to go from Drab to Fab!
It didn't start out too pretty...
...and I'm not a big fan of magic -be it good or bad magic- but I'm convinced that Nicole has some fairy dust mixed into some of her products! The transformation she preformed today was as close to magical as I've ever been.
The final outcome was just what I needed to feel like a 'new woman' this weekend. :o) I'm sooooo excited.
Are you needing a little TLC? Call Nickole! She is such a sweetie and AMAZING at her profession. You're guaranteed to receive the best massaging shampoo that you've ever had! I could just melt when I get mine. Make your appointment by calling her directly at 426-4439. You'll be glad you did!
Nicole also hand designs exquisite jewelry available exclusively at her salon. BEAUTIFUL!

I am soooo excited about my long overdue girls night out next weekend. (For those of you who haven't read my previous blog post or Collins Photography facebook fan page, I'm going to Fox Theater to see Wicked - The untold story of the witches of Oz.)
To celebrate I went today to Sally's Beauty Supply and found this Emerald City Green Polish to wear this week. And it was only $1 for a miniature bottle! Can't beat that! Even though it matches nothing in my wardrobe, it makes me smile every time I look at. It puts me in such a chipper mood that I though I'd bring everyone in on the fun. To put a smile on your face too, I created a promotion that offers something miniature at an an unbelievable deal. A set of wallets for only $1.
For every 10 toes that you paint Green, photograph and send to me, I'll give a certificate for a set of 8 wallets priced at only $1. (Good towards your next session. Limit 4) They can be your toes, your baby's toes, your dog's toes, your best friend's toes and if your sneaky, paint and photograph your hubby's toes as he takes his Father's Day nap this Sunday.
This promotion ends June 26 at midnight. Call the studio at (573) 308-2767 to get the email address you will need to send your photos to. (We don't post addresses online to prevent spam.)

WICKED Inspiration
6.14.2010
In a couple weeks, I'll be going to see a new musical call WICKED - the untold story of the witches of oz. I'm sure to be drenched in artistic inspiration as we admire elaborate sets, costumes and an amazing theatrical performance.
I am SOOO excited. I'm joining up with a couple close friends for a long overdue girls night out--Trini, my friend from St.Louis and Tami, my long time friend from Kentucky. We're painting the town red uhhh, I mean green. Before we get dressed in our evening gowns, my friend Trini organized an appointment for us at a SPA in St.Louis. After getting our hair designed and petticures complete, we're heading out for an evening of tapa hopping. Its not what you think! Get your mind out of the gutter. :o) hehe In Spain, instead of going somewhere with your friends for a full meal, you collect as a group and 'hop' around to different restaurants sharing a few appetizers at each location. This way your evening is focused more on socializing instead of the meal. And the food......mmmmmm.....you get the best of several locations. (Trini will love that. Big menus are her favorite!) Then the big finale!!! My first experience at The Fox Theater watching one of the most popular musicals available. What's not to love?? :o)
